A bit about me
I currently work full time for a major hardware vendor as a deployment engineer. I have been with the company since 2012, and have filled a few different rolls, and have been on some large projects. I also have responsibilities as part of a lab management team, focusing on infrastructure, networking, security and IP management,
I am also a Communication Specialist and Assistant Team Lead with DuPage County Emergency Management Agency. I am assigned to a state response team that specializes in communications and IT infrastructure, assisting Fire, Law Enforcement, and other Emergency Management agencies during emergencies. We bring cellular and satellite interment and phone, wireless and wired local networking, analog and IP phone systems, radio repeaters, radio gateways and radio caches.
I am a licensed armature radio operator, where I volunteer in my community providing communication support to charity and community events. I have lead communications teams of volunteers at parades, charity races, and Special Olympics, as well as assisted in many others, including working in forward command for the Chicago Marathon, providing communication to medical teams through out the course.
My passion for technology has also lead me to invest in my own home lab, where I can deploy, learn and play with new technologies on a small scale in my free time.
